NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS BUDGET AND PROPOSED TAX RATE

The Port Arthur I.S.D. will hold a public meeting at 05:30 PM, August 22, 2019 in the Board Room, Port Arthur I.S.D. Admin. Bldg, 4801 9th Ave., Port Arthur, Texas. The
purpose of this meeting is to discuss the school district's budget that will determine the tax rate that will be adopted. Public participation in the discussion is invited.

One-Stop Registration

Register your child and also receive information from the district's child nutrition free and reduced meal program; Bilingual; Special Education, Port Arthur Public Library and more school related organizations. This year the Health Department will administer necessary shots.

Power Outage

The older section of the campus lost power this morning. The staff immediately sprung to action and ushered students to the newer section of the building where there is power. Our teachers have continued to teach and our students have been served both breakfast and lunch. Our electricians have been working with Entergy to rectify this issue. Our students are safe and comfortable, however, the phones are down due to the electrical issue. Students will be released at the regular dismissal time of 3:25 p.m.
